																		Liberal Democrat candidates enjoyed success in last Thursday's local elections.  Seats were gained from the Conservatives in Broadstone and Merley/Bearwood wards and so changed the balance of power on Poole Borough Council.   Elsewhere in Poole the story was one of 'no change' apart from Hamworthy West where two Lib Dem seats were lost to the Conservatives.   The Conservative majority on the council has now  slipped to 8 from 10 and the seats are shared 17 Lib Dem (+1) and 25 Conservative (-1).																				</description>
